1. What is freediving?
Freediving is diving without tanks, using breath-holding techniques to explore underwater calmly and naturally.
2. Is it safe for beginners?
Yes! The Discover Freediving course is designed for first-timers and includes a full safety briefing and guided sessions.
3. How long is the session?
It lasts around 2–2.5 hours, including classroom theory and actual water training.
4. What’s included in the gear?
You’ll be provided with a mask, snorkel, long fins, wetsuit or rashguard, and float lines.
5. How deep will we dive?
Beginner sessions usually reach depths of 3–8 meters, depending on comfort and ability.
6. Is it physically demanding?
Not really. Freediving emphasizes relaxation and breath control, not strength.
7. Is it safe for non-swimmers?
Not recommended for non-swimmers. You need to be comfortable in the water even if shallow.
8. Are photos included?
Yes! Your instructor will take photos and videos of your dive, and soft copies will be provided.
9. What if I panic underwater?
You’ll be close to the instructor at all times, with float lines and surface support. You can ascend any time.
10. Can I continue to Level 1 certification later?
Yes. If you enjoy Discover Freediving, you can enroll in a Level 1 course and continue your journey.
